It’s all about characters... A slightly deranged federal agent is in charge of spreading karma. A suicidal teen has seconds thoughts when she meets a long-lost aunt on the other side. A couple of hillbillies shoot Santa Claus on Christmas eve. A guy’s life turns upside down because he calls a phone number written on a five dollar bill. These are just a few of the interesting characters found in the moving world of Paddy Wagon Films. For many filmmakers, short movies are a means to an end: learn your craft, make a feature. Yeah, we’re guilty of that, too, but along the way we discovered the power a great short movie can have on an audience. Paddy Wagon Films has been a part of more than 20 short movies made in the Denver metropolitan area over the last few years. Some we’ve taken a lot of time on, some we made up as we went along and some we did just for the fun of it. Some have been pretty darn good. Some not so much. All have been fun and all of them have taught us something: Try. Learn. Move on. Oh, and yeah we’re ready for our feature. Shorts Because not all stories need 90 minutes to tell.
